frequently asked questions

  • You are not a candidate for permanent makeup if you are diabetic, pregnant, breastfeeding, prone to keloiding, have cancer, are undergoing chemo or radiation treatments, have an autoimmune disorder not cleared by a physician, or have been on Accutane within the last 12 months. You cannot receive microblading if you have had Botox injections in the eye or forehead area within two weeks of your appointment time. Clients must also be at least 18 years of age to receive permanent makeup.

  • Permanent makeup is not pain-free. It is a cosmetic tattoo. However, you will be numbed throughout the appointment to minimize the pain. Most clients are perfectly comfortable and even fall asleep because they feel so relaxed during their appointment. However, it depends on how well you numb and your pain tolerance.

  • Permanent makeup is expected to last 1-2 years, and it is recommended to get annual touch ups to refresh the color. However, different factors such as skin type, skincare, metabolism, and level of activity can affect the longevity of your brows.

  • After arriving at your appointment, you will be cleaned and numb for 20 minutes. During this time, we will discuss your goals and desires for your brows. After numbing, your brows will be mapped and you will approve the shape before starting the procedure. The process takes 2-3 hours.

  • The shape of your brow will be determined after taking measurements of your facial features, consideration of your bone structure, and most importantly where your hair grows.

  • The healing process is 10 days.

  • Touch up appointments are perfecting sessions. In some cases, some areas of the brows fade more than the rest and those areas need a little more work. Your touch up also allows us a chance to go bigger, bolder, or darker if you want. Your touch up appointment is complimentary and the fee is included in the initial price. While it is not necessary, it is highly recommended for longer-lasting brows.

  • Dab your brows with tissue every ten minutes for three hours following your appointment- remember not to apply pressure!

Keep fingers out of the brow area- no touching, picking, or peeling!

    Over the next ten days:

Gently cleanse your brows morning and night with clean hands using circular motions. Rinse your fingers and remove the soap. Blot brows dry with a clean paper towel. Lightly apply a THIN layer of ointment with a fresh cotton swab.

No water on the brows aside from the cleansing routine you'll perform morning and night

Avoid sun exposure- wear a hat to protect brows and apply SPF after brows are healed

Avoid strenuous activity- no sweating allowed

Avoid makeup near the microbladed area

No skincare on the forehead until brows are healed. After ten days you can resume normal skincare regimen on the forehead but be sure to avoid applying products to the brows.
